Yale Acceptance
Lixin was accepted into Prof. Boris Berman's studio to pursue a Master of Music degree at the Yale School of Music. The acceptance offer includes a full tuition scholarship and a $11,000 annual stipend.

Senior Recital at Colburn
Lixin gave his senior recital in fullfilment of his Bachelor of Music degree at the Colburn Conservatory of Music. The recital included works composed by Haydn, Bach-Busoni, Debussy, Liszt, Lena-Frank, and Prokofiev

Performance at Villa Gardens
Presented by the Colburn School, Lixin collaborated with violist Nicolas Garrigues to give an enchanting concert at the Villa Gardens Los Angeles Retirement Community Showroom.

Chamber Music Performance at St. Paul's Catholic Church
Lixin and his chamber group performed Paul Juon's Quintet No.1, Op.33 (1906) at St. Paul's Catholic Church. The chamber group consisted of Charlotte Marckx (violin), Weilin Chen (violin), Matthew Pakola (viola), Alon Hayut (cello), and Lixin Zhang (piano).

Concert Artists Guild: Semifinalist
Lixin was selected as one of the 24 instrumental semifinalists in the 2024 CAG Louis and Susan Meisel Competition.

CCMS: Tatjana Masurenko
Lixin was selected to play with Colburn Viola Faculty Tatjana Masurenko in a Colburn Chamber Music Society (CCMS) concert. The trio consisted of Arturs Perts (clarinet), Tatjana Masurenko (viola), and Lixin Zhang (piano), and performed Mozart's Kegelstatt Trio, K. 498.

Update: Gina Bachauer Artists International Piano Competition
Lixin has been selected as one of 37 quarterfinalist to compete in the live finals of the Gina Bachauer Artists International Piano Competition held in Salt Lake City, Utah, in June. The Bachauer competition is the second largest piano competition in the United States after the Cliburn.

Colburn Performance Forum
Lixin performed Liszt's Reminiscences de Norma in Thayer Hall at the Colburn Performance Forum. This work is a transcription of the infamous opera 'Norma' composed by Italian composer Vincenzo Bellini.

Gina Bachauer Artists International Piano Competition
Lixin performed in the live preliminary round of the Gina Bachauer Artists International Piano Competition. The performance took place at The Rose situated in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. The preliminary round hails 120 first-class pianists to perform at one of five cities, all eyeing for a spot in the quarterfinals.

Fundraiser at Holly Lea, NZ
Lixin performed a solo recital at the Holly Lea Showroom in Christchurch, New Zealand. This concert was a fundraiser event aimed at helping ToneAce's Neville Baird Impact Program bring music education to more talented students in New Zealand.
